MMS Received as Email Only

I've recently started receiving MMS messages as email only. To my knowledge I have not made any changes to settings on my end. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can revert to having them received as text messages?

Hi there,

I'm using a Blackberry Priv running Android 6.0.1.

It's weird that it would be on my end since it just started happening in the past week and I haven't changed anything.

@rimclean, does this happen for MMS from multiple people? Could it be something from the sender's side? It's just that it would be extremely strange if the Public mobile server was converting MMS messages to email and sending to your email address.

Yes, it's happening for multiple people. Group messages mostly originating from Koodo as far as I can tell. If I initiate a group conversation it will continue via text, but it seems that group messages initiated by others go to my email.

Could it possibly have something to do with the original messages coming from apple devices (maybe via some fascist apple app)? There is a blurb about downloading quicktime in the email messages, and I'm pretty sure that all of the other folks involved in the group convos have apple devices.

Is it safe to say that the people sending these MMS to you are all using Apple IOS? Apple does some funky stuff.

Just goggled it using "IOS MMS being received as email" as the search, and there were plenty of hits. Your guess that it might ba a fascist Apple app might be correct.

Yeah... I'm certain they're originating from apple devices. I'm happy to blame apple and leave it at that.
