Data not working

Hello,

My data suddenly stopped working. The LTE icon flashes on and off, but does not work.

SMS messages also don't send when off wifi, but do send when on wifi, which is strange.

I'm running on a Huawei P20, Android version 9, I am in Winnipeg. Plan includes 4.5gb of data and I am nowhere near running out.

I have already tried the following:

Turned phone on and off

Turned airplane mode on and off

Turned phone off and reinserted the SIM card

Reset APN settings

When sending SMS with no wifi, error message says "Can't send message with Public Mobile, error 500".

Right as I was done typing that up, my SMS started sending, but still no data.

My understanding is that their are network issues with the Telus/Koodo/PM network out West so that might be the reason you are experiencing these issues. Hopefully they solve it soon.

Hi,

It sounds more like a network issue. You should PM the Moderator Team and ask if your area is affected by network issues.
