Hi PM,

i activated in Walmart store for a 2nd phone:

15$ plan with 100 min talk, unlimited text and bonus 250 MB data.

i used this on my old I Phone 4

issue: No Cellular Data ???

any idea why ?

@pm_tl Did you setup autopay? The bonus is only applied if autopay is active.

Which specific model is your phone A1349 CDMA or A1332 GSM?

First turn on iPhone mobile data, second using this website to edit iPhone APN setting.

yes i did sign up for AutoPay right at the store. In fact, I got a text confirming my autopay credit right away.

How do I find the specific model of my old iPhone4 - I bought it at Apple Store in Toronto in 2011-2012 timeframe?

btw. my iPhone4 is so old that some buttons don't work. It's time to get a newer one 🙂

Thanks everyone. But after reading your replies and take a close look at my old iPhone4... maybe it's not worth it to try to get cellular data to work - as it is pretty old and the top button doesn't even work for me to restart the phone !

It's already a miracle that PM phone & text service work on this phone - by just plug in the SIM card without turn it on/off 🙂

If talk and text work data is working as well with the proper settings (at least on 3G frequency bands) - see the post / thread that @mimmo and @CalgaryBen have linked to and follow the steps outlined there.

Yes surprisingly my iPhone4 📱 from 2011 can still work fine, but the top button is stuck (can’t restart !). a bit too small to type as I’m now used to bigger screen.

Amazing resilient piece of hardware from Apple! I don’t recall I ever replaced battery. Didn’t try to get any new app so can’t tell you. Whatever apps I had works too 🙂
