      <description>&lt;P&gt;Number porting takes a bit of time, usually between 2 hours and 2 days.&amp;nbsp; Ports from some carriers are faster than others.&amp;nbsp; I suggest continuing to use the old service until it stops working.&amp;nbsp; That is a sure sign the port is complete.&amp;nbsp; I suspect that calls to the old number go straight to voice mail because the old service is not being used.&amp;nbsp; When not connected to the network, the default for calls is straight to voice mail.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
