Yes, you would need to click on the data symbol in order for your phone to use data.

Go into Settings and turn on Data. Depending on which phone you have.

@dsouzac What model of phone do you have? You may have to also configure your APN settings once data is enabled.

@dsouzac Once you enabled data, is it working? Likely right away it will work. If not, let us know. If you have not used data before your 250mb may get used up for updates without you even knowing. That you can log into self serve and see if your data add-on is missing which means it got used up.

Hi, If your "Data" button is on, and you re-started your phone, it should work. You will see your network icon on the top of your phone change from just "Signal bars" to "3G" or "LTE". Open your browser app and see if it works. Turn off your Wifi if you are at home or the internet connection will default to Wifi. With only 250mb you will want to turn it off , when not using it, or app apdates will use it up quickly. 🙂 I hope you got it working. If not you may have to fix the APN settings.

Hi friend try this APN settings. It should work.

Step by Step APN configuration

Step1:

Android

Settings > More / More Networks / Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > New APN setting (or a plus sign)

Blackberry

OS 10 - Settings > Network and Connections > Mobile Network > Tap the settings icon (dented wheel)

Windows

Windows 8 Step 1 Settings > cellular > Add or Edit internet APN

iPhone

Click here

Step 2:

You will need to input the following information:

Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Leave blank
Port: Leave blank
Username: Leave blank
Password: Leave blank
Server: Leave blank
MMSC:http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Leave blank
APN type: Leave blank

Step 3:

Select Save/Done. Select Public Mobile to connect to the Public Mobile network

You need to turn on data is the settings to use it. Also, turn off background data tasks or your 250MB could be all gone when you haven't tried to use it.
