I haven't seen much discussion on here about LTE-A and after having finally purchased a phone that is capable I tested Public Mobile's network.

On my Galaxy S5 I used to get speeds between 30mbps - 85mbps on Public Mobile. The highest I achieved on the S5 with no network congestion was 126mbps.

I just ran my first test on a Galaxy S8, which is capable of LTE+, and I achieved 238mbps. I'm very confident that the results you can achieve on PM are almost identicle to what you would see on Telus/Bell.

Speedtest, no congestion

Its the same network so you should get fadt speeds. only the ,3g plans are artificially throttled.

The LTE plans are full speed. 🙂

I have both an LTE plan, and a 3G (2.5mpbs LTE) plan which I am testing for 2 weeks now. Unless I am downloading a large app it pretty much feels like i'm using the same service. Youtube 1080p may take 5 seconds to load if fast forwarding.

that's very fast, what area are you in? I never had such download speed.
