How do you know a new subject appears??

@Lieux most of us just use the Latest Topics and/or Latest Posts views on the main page of the community.

If you want to be notified of new threads in a given area of the communtiy, you have a couple of options. @pm-smayer97 documented how to get notified by email, and I documented how to get notified via an RSS reader app/service, if you already use one. Unless you're already an RSS user, the former is probably most convenient.

Yes I tried Itff... but too much messages in my mail box that I don’t need... not just new post...

@Lieux- I use a shortcut to the page that is shown when you click on 'Latest Posts'.

It's not really a new subject, but it does show everything that has been posted, chronologically.

@Lieux cool, keep me posted. I use Feedly to skim through new articles from a number of sources such as Mobilesyrup, Android Central and Android Authority, a couple of car blogs, a couple of entertainment sites (TVLine for tv news and Blabbermouth for Rock/Metal music news), etc. Once you get used to how to deal with the feeds it's pretty handy, and you can usually read the content in the RSS app without seeing ads and such. A bit like "reading mode" or "simplified mode" in some browsers.

I tried @srlawren ...but it doesn't send me the messages in my mail box...I put 8 RSS but nothing...just 1 hour later it shows me what happens...

@Lieux if you use my tutorial, you won't have anything in your mailbox. If you used @pm-smayer97's you would though. Are you saying you DO get something but it's delayed an hour? Or did I misunderstand? Actually, I probably should have mentioned: when Feedly introduced it's paid pro subscriptions, one of the selling features is "get new articles up to 10x faster" when you pay. For me, it's not worth the $5.41/month (billed annually). But if you need to be aware of the latest right away, you might need a pro subscription.

EDIT: it's a bit tough to navigate to the info on the subscription types now, so I'll ink it directly here: https://feedly.com/i/pro/

If you follow the instructions at my link to get e-mail notifications, at step#3 you get 2 choices. If you pick the first one, you will ONLY get NEW threads and not all the extra replies.

I choose Ifttt.com and after 2 try I have now the new post in my mail box .Thanks.

I just went to check out that site and all I get is redirected to spam advertising.... are you sure that is the correct site?

just so you know, the context of @lorieux's discussion is about e-mail notifications of new posts from the forum areas of interest, not about having to check in on this site to find new content.
