Call the provider of the phone for an unlock code..or if its a samsung i believe there is an online site for unlocks..

@gabsIf you purchased your previous phone directly from your old provider you can contact them for unlocking. If the phone was purchased 2nd hand let us know the model number we can assist you with other methods for unlocking, usually the unlocking service can be done for a few dollars depending on your model.

@gabs If the phone you want to unlock works with PM, then simply send the mods a private message with the phone model and imei and they will unlock it for free. you can also contact koodo or telus to unlock the phone. if it works with rogers or bell then contact one of those companies and they will unlock it for free.
