I am preety sure that service provider has nothing to do with this. It should work just as fine as if it owkred on any other network. Have you used the gear with any other service provider?

Yes it will work with public mobile, I have done it myself

Were you able to make phone calls just using your watch? What about data? If I turn mobile networks on on my watch I get a sim not provisioned mm#22 error.

No, this is my first watch. I've not been able to connect to any network as of yet. I just get the error I mention below.
The watch did have a non removable sim with its own sim number. ( Not a phone number. )

Yes I was able to make calls but I have never tried using data. I will let you know once I do and let you know if it does happen
