Not receiving calls. Only voicemails.

Hello,

My partner and I both switched to Public Mobile, and for over a month now about 75% of our calls do not cause our phones to ring.

However, we receive voicemails.

It's becoming quite fustrating now. About an hour ago I was waiting for a call, and while I was using my phone I recieved the voicemail notification. No ring or anything.

We are using different Android phones and we have checked to ensure the ringer is on. Again, we do receive calls sometimes.

Any ideas? Thank you.

is it everywhere or just a certain location, ie are you in a basement. what is the reception like in your area?

I remember that used to happen when I was with Freedom Mobile. The reception was not always good.

it sounds like it is a signal reception issue.

Seems to be happening everywhere. I'm certainly not in a basement and the most recent occurrence happened while in a restaurant within the middle of a city.

It could be an issue with your phone? When I switched from Freedom Mobile to Public Mobile, I had to do a factory reset. If you plan on doing this, please remember to back up your phone. 🙂

I still have issues getting reliable signal while at work, but the building materials used are not cellular friendly.

i switched from Wind to Public Mobile about 14 months ago. My reception at home is far superior to what wing, and Rogers before them were providing me.

what phones are you using? if tehy are older could teh be missing some of teh celluelar bands? (the bands might be only a data is thing though)
