you can use this as a refrence, but will depend if its an iOS or Android. If its android you will need to know the IMEI #

You'll need to use an IMEI checker. The IMEI # is what is used to identify a phone

This afternoon I try to meet the guy's from kijiji to buy S8 Plus, I have chat at the text messages few times and ask the seller the IMEI number and try to check the phone IMEI through here at PM site and run the check, come out the messages ( We are unable to find your device. Please ensure you have entered the correct IMEI before contacting of purchase for more information. Your device has not been reported as lost or stolen. )

here the IMEI number the seller have provide me ( 357759080008618 )

I even search from Google and check ( Your device has not been reported as lost or stolen or blacklisted )

Public mobile imei check its not reliable as I heard its only Check if phone will work or not

But if you checked that imei on swappa esn and if its clean then its not blacklisted or stolen. I alway check on swappa.
As you mentioned you Checked on Google and other imei checker so far phone is clean

Also If I am you i would ask the seller to provide bill of purchase or at least copy of it or screenshot. S8 plus its not a cheap phone. I have a s8 plus too bought from kijiji too but with orignal bill of purchase:)

I know is not cheap the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, the seller asking $850,

I did purchase Note 4 three years ago and I would like to upgrade my phone, the money I am saving with PM

I did request the original receipt the purchase of the phone, the seller reply, he/she bought the phone from wireless, I am very caution of buying the phone, the price tags is not cheap anymore now day, thanks for all your reply Bro

From what I have read online, buying phones on Kijiji is very iffy. A lot end up in the blacklist after purchase.

They are third party carrier dealer seller should have some paper work ask them that they can cover there personal details you just want to see it or you need a screenshot of bill of purchase and seller and blackout their personal details like name number address. It's good to be have for warranty issues.

When I purchase I either take a proper bill of purchase or make them meet at carrier store who ever they purchase it to verify its not under tab or something.
