But the majority could walk away five minutes later with working phone, working data, working billing - sometimes they'd have to wait out a number port, sometimes even that worked perfectly just a few minutes later.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Public Mobile always announces scheduled website maintenance in advance. And (so far) has always owned up to "unscheduled" website maintenance promptly afterwards. If their sites were crashing and burning then they'd be well aware of it and they'd keep us aware of it in turn.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PM may not allocate unlimited budgets towards developers and outsourced tech. But they do get to lean on Telus, so they're not entirely disconnected.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Walmart - and the minimum-wagers they put behind the sales counter - are not particularly well known for their leading tech savvy.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
