      <description>&lt;P&gt;You can wait for two months to port, but you would have to keep your other acct open for the two months. Once you close the other account the number is taken back by the provider.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

No, I haven't had that experience but was apprehensive as some mobile carriers did charge porting fee - at least earlier.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;FONT face="verdana,geneva" size="2" color="#000080"&gt;Land-line number porting though is invariably charged by all companies.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I was essentially referring to porting land-line numbers &lt;STRONG&gt;from one land-line co to another land-line co&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
