im already a long time PM customer who now needs a nano sim card instead of a micro sim. can i just order a nano sim and put it into my new phone? im going from a galaxy note 2 to a galaxy s6.

You might be able to punch out the nano from your micro.

@lake, if you have an online account setup, you can simply get a SIM card and update it in the self serve portal.

@lake If you have an older SIM card which does not punch out to a smaller nano, then you may have to get a new SIM from Public Mobile.

The newer cards have a punch out

As to the procedure, I believe that you just buy a new sim then log in to your account and click on change sim card and update new sim card number and you are done new sim card will work with your older plan.

3. Cut along the nano SIM template line with a sharp scissor.

4. File 4 edges carefully so that your new SIM card fits in the SIM card tray.

It is that easy. I had done this at least 5 times. Have not screwed up one yet.

I say go for it, worst case scenario is you have to buy a new sim......which is what you were looking at doing anyways.
