Is there any way to get service in Lebanon with Public Mobile or its affiliates (Talk, Text and Data)?

No. Just US roaming.

What @Anonymous said. Plus it's almost always cheaper to use a local provider.

Forwarding your calls to a Voip service like fongo that you can access over WiFi or local data connection at your destination is an option to be still reachable on your Canadian number. Has to be set up before you leave Canada.

Even though I could roam in the states...it's also kinda fun to have a local number to use while there. Particularly if you're in fun mode on vacation.

What happens to my "missed calls" and "missed texts" while I'm out of the country?

I will be gone for approximately 3 weeks. Will I receive them all as I re-enter the network?

You won't know about any missed calls. Public Mobile does not notify users of calls that were attempted to you.

Text messages may be delivered when you come back, although I'm unsure of how long Public Mobile will keep these in the delivery queue (it isn't forever).

Am currently in the same boat, I arrived to Lebanon just to realize that there is no service here. This is a pain since some of my access depend on getting access code via SMS.

Any update on this issue, did publicmobile extend their services to Lebanon? or anyway I can get around this problem and get SMS?

This isn't planned for any time in the near future. Unfortunately, you would have to use a dfiferent service. If you have internet access, you could see if the companies that you're dealing with will authenticate by e-mail.

You could either purchase a local sim or use Wi-Fi apps like WhatsApp, Textnow, or Fongo.
