deleting draft messages in my community account page

Hi does anyone know how to bulk or auto delete the draft messages that are automatically saved. I just noticed a long list of draft messages in my community account page (when you click on your icon on teh right side) not that is a a big deal for them to be there but there has to be an easier way other than clicking delete, and then yes to confirm the deletion.

I am not aware of any easy way. However, I have learned that you should use the cancel feature to stop the build up of draft messages. You know the saying about an ounce of prevention.

@will13am where do i find the cancel feature? ( i must be blind). I did however discover the quick reply feature (not sure if i like it or not).

@will13am must be talking about the Cancel button below the text box when you are about to post something. Clicking it will make sure the draft isn't saved.

The cancel button (below the orrange post button) will cancel a post (leave page). not sure how it affect the autosave.

The cancel button works. If used the saved draft is discarded. I haven't noticed any buildup of drafts in my profile since using the cancel feature.

Yup, it works. I have been doing the same for a while now.

Ok i will give it a try so to understand correctly. once an auto save is created and before clicking post.

1) I click cancel

2) a pop up appears asking do i want to leave this site

3) I click no (so i don't lose the message)

4) i then click post?

@mimmo, No!

Autosave results in saved draft messages only when you wander off the page without posting or clicking cancel. You should not be ending up with drafts for every single message you post.

If this is happening, check out the settings.

If you want to post then hit post but that post shouldn't be saved under drafts. It only saves when you decide not to post at that time. If you decide not to post even later, you can hit cancel and leave to ignore the post and it will not save under drafts.
