I ported my landline to Public Mobile last week. Everything works fine except I can't get the SMS verification from Instagram.

It has worked on other sites like Facebook and Google. I found an older thread here that says Twitter SMS verification won't work with Public Mobile because it doesn't work with Telus.

Is Instagram blocked like Twitter for SMS verification or is there another issue?

I had this same issue. Try uninstalling and reinstalling Instagram. After that, see if they'll send the code to your phone.
