Can't send mms

I have a Samsung s4. Data is on, have lots. I can receive sms and mms but cannot send mms.
This began at Christmas. I have checked and double checked settings. Removed Sim etc. Help!

So you can receive a text but can't send a text? Have you tried restarting the phone? Does you account still indicate everything is active? PM a mod with your phone number (don't post it here) and they should be able to reset things.

Yes I can send and receive text messages. I can even receive mms, I just can't send them.
This may be a dumb question, what is a mod amd how do I send them a message?

Hi @lalalaura1984!

Try sending MMS froma 3rd party app such as Textra from the playstore. It could be your phone's stock app acting up.

If this is the case, then you can go to Settings > Apps and scroll to Messaging and clear app data/cache for the messaging app. This will cause you to lose saved messaging in the app.

You can also try adding one line to the APN settings in the mobile network settings.

For APN type, enter the following: default,mms,supl

Note there are no spaces. Save the APN settings, reboot the phone and test.

I once had the same problem, and after hours of messing around with the APN settings, I found out that when I copied and pasted the APN settings there was a space character hided at the end of one of the fields. Double check that you don't have the same problem.

I've checked all my settings. I have since downloaded gosmspro and they send through that app without an issue. It must be my messenger program instead of my service. Although I did put my Sim in another phone and it still didn't work. I also toggled date and time during all this. I have data... I'm using it . 🙂 thank you for all your help folks!

Hey there. Double check the the MMSC section. I know me and a few others had the same issue. Forgot the (RE) in aliasredirect. I too have an S4 and was able to recieve sms and mms but could not send mms bc of that error. Hope you get if figured out
