I don't want to deal with these issues and want to take advantage of Fido's similiar offer. Is it possible to get a refund?

Unfortunately, you won't be able to get refund.

Refer to Terms of service in legal section. I quoted the below.

"Prepaid service credits are non-refundable"

The only way out is giving up prepaid amount.. 😞

but, that applies to all other companies too.

I gave up ~2 weeks of my service from Virgin to switch to PM.

Here, it would be pretty bad if you switch at the beginning of 90 day plan. (giving up ~3 month of payment)
