If you have an iPhone 7, there won't be a need to set APN manually.

Go to Settings -> General -> About and check the Network name and Carrier. It should say Public Mobile and Public Mobile 32.0 (latest version).

I have iPhone 6 Plus and I didn't need to set any APNs manually. Everything was automatic. Try restarting the device. My activation was very quick. Took me 15 minutes or so. I activated my sim card online, popped it in, got a text and was good to go.

If restarting doesn't work, follow these instructions for the APN settings (but again, I didn't do any of these. I restarted the device and it was good)

May be it's the carrier update option or network reset. May be those who are familiar with iPhone can give better advice.

Thanks for your message.

I received a message saying my port-in has been successful but it hasn’t because I tried calling my number and it’s going to Voicemail. I guess the problem lies there. I don’t know how long this will take. 😞

Escalated it to the Mod Team too.

Hey guys,

Thank you all for the troubleshooting advice. Unfortunately, nothing that I did helped (even googled and followed the instructions). It was a quite a dampener and so I chose to port out.

Thanks again, everyone!

Sorry to hear that you had to port out.

Hopefully, your data service works properly with your new carrier.

I ported to Virgin and the data works supremely well.

Back on PM for a different prepaid number and the data issue persists. Have escalated to mod. On the 40$ 4.5 GB plan but it doesn’t work. LOL.
