I just put it in a s7 and it says need sim network puk code

Sounds like your phone is locked to the previous provider. Get in touch with them to get it unlocked.

Also, some people had success getting the unlock code through samsung.ca chat.

You need to send a private message to moderator to get hte SIM card PUK code.

Is the phone unlocked?

If the sim is brand new, it should not be asking for a PUK code.
