You may want to add more details to your topic.

You can change plans in your self service account. Either immediately or at the next renewal date. You can change to cheaper, same or more expensive plan. If you choose immediately, you will lose the remaining minutes/data in the original plan (no pro-rated plans).

Customers are free to change plans at any time regardless of price point.

You can do it, but if you want to use up the current plan first, you need future date the change, so it will occur when the current monthly plan expires.
