How do I get my data add on to work

It should work immediately if it's a Canada data add on. What plan are you currently on, and what add on did you select. And check to see if the funds are in your account. Purchasing an add on is a 2 step process. You add the funds, then make the purchase. You may have not actually completed the purchase.
