I just upgraded from an Iphone 4s to an Iphone xr. What do I do next?

Normally, you just take out the SIM card from old phone and put in new phone.

Iphone 4S uses microSIM card while iphone XR uses nanoSIM card.

Depending when you purchases your PM SIM card. If it is a newer SIM card, you can just punch out the nano SIM card out of the microSIM card. If not able to punch out, you will need to purchase a new PM SIM card and change your SIM card in your self service accoun.

If you are brave enough, find template for nano and cut off excess plastic from micro.

If not, you will have to get new PM SIM and replace it through My Account.

@davwins make sure you download latest updates. Swap the SIM and have it download the latest Carrier profile. And enjoy the new phone.

@davwins - some cell shops can also cut down the SIM card for you. There will likely be a small charge. I had one cut down to nano size before for $5.
