Only ways to get rewards are: to get people to use your referral code when signing up, and to contribute a LOT here on the forums.

I've noticed that I seem to get more Community Rewards each time I've submitted a PM survey.

Could be relevant. Could be coincidental. I haven't tested it methodically because I hate stupid surveys, I only waste time on them when I feel a sense of obligation to helpfully "return the favour" after Mods have made (successful) efforts to resolve an issue for me.
