@TheSterlinger For me right now it’s knowing how to Reno my rental house . Been at it 2 months by myself and in the final stretch re did whole thing floors doors trim sinks counter tops new patio door and storm door . And it’s looking amazing almost want to move back into it myself 😞 as my house is a mess from being here and at it everyday

The best skill in my opinion is the ability to explain an issue without presuming the solution.

I believe that being a good listener, with an open heart and without judgment, can make a world of difference in most situations. It's a skill that is genuinely appreciated by most people!

I know the feeling. It took my spouse and me 3 years to complete the gutting on our 50s’ house. Kept the original hardwood floors and the configuration of the rooms upstairs, remove walls in the dining room and kitchen for open concept and all new plumbing & electrical. Removed all the exterior cedar siding & stucco and replaced with Hardiplank.

Removed the furnace and installed radiant floor heating, dug down about a foot for a 7.5 foot ceiling reconfigured the basement layout.

Drew up the plans to apply for the building permit with City Hall.

Many thanks to friends and family that helped and the one man General contactor that help us.

Never do this again…semi-retired and enjoying our newish house for 10 years now.

@BKNS27 Sounds like you did a great job and it’s certainly a lot if work , congrats there’s quite a rewarding feeling once you get it all done also
