@J_PM So this is something even if you don’t know what your PUK code is now. to contact support to have it just incase you ever need it . Or should I be able to find it now even thou I don’t need it or set it something new somewhere in settings

Why is all this necessary?

Why not simply display the PUK somewhere in the (Self-Serve) account information? (Like certain other providers do, lol.)

What extra "security" and "protection" does submitting a ticket/etc provide to the subscriber? All the bot and the CSA are going to do is confirm identity with information which is already displayed elsewhere in the Self-Serve information. A thief who steals your phone will be able to answer all the CSAs questions if that phone has the app installed or has stored Self-Serve login sessions.

I would personally prefer to be given keys and an explanation of what they can lock or unlock. Information, education, empowerment. The opposite of being kept deliberately uninformed, powerless, in the dark.

Yep, you will need internet access somehow to reach out to support if you need a PUK code. I tend to agree with @Korth_ that the PUK code could be safely stored within the online account and customers can memorize it.

I've never been locked out of my phone but I had an old tablet that I hadn't used in a long time and forgot the password for it and got the message something like..."You've typed an incorrect password or pin too many times, your device has been locked. Try again in an hour" is this the same kind of thing with the sim... Is it something new? And will you never be able to unlock the phone without the PUK code if this were to happen?
