Well that is technically correct so don't personally feel offended by a minor tweak but, as always, some will be. I wonder if there was offense take when the line “thou dost in us command” to “in all thy sons command” was changed. I do remember there was a lot of hand wringing when couple of words were changed from "all thy sons" to "all of us", more recently, lol...

Happy Canada Day to all no matter how you want to sing it, with or without the minor tweaks..
