We’re excited to announce a new limited-time bonus as part of our Refer-a-Friend program. Starting September 17, 2025, when you refer-a-friend to Public Mobile and they subscribe to a plan starting from $35/month, you’ll earn a $10 bonus credit, on top of the rewards you already get.

Here’s what that looks like:

Regular 1 point per month for all active referrals
Plus, a special $10 bonus credit

What Your Friends Get:

A $10 credit

How it works:

Log in to My Account to find your unique referral code
Share your code with friends looking for reliable service and a great plan
Once they activate on a $35+/mo. plan, you’ll both receive your rewards automatically
A special $10 bonus credit will be added to your account within 4-8 weeks of your friends activation.

This offer is available until October 6, 2025, and there's a limit of five (5) $10 bonus credits per referring customer during the campaign.

Without a compelling reason for new customers to join, this is going to be a very difficult sell for an existing customer to be able to gain any additional referrals from this promotion. There's no additional incentive for the new customer, and the price plans themselves haven't been all that good as of late. Add that to the new 911 fees and the upcoming reduction of points rewards, I'd be extremely surprised if there's any significant gain in new subscriber counts. This promotion also doesn't address the very high churn rate. It's just as important to keep customers compared to trying to get new customers.

Last time the minimum plan amount was $29. Now it starts at $35.00!!! For real!!???

That's an increase of $6.00 for what? Have ya'll taken a look at all the complaints in the last 2 years?

QR code missing in activation email, failed autopay, 1800 calling errors, updating payment error etc, etc, etc.

Prospective customers will likely be turned off when realizing that they are being baited and switched with the 2% rewards effective October 15th, which is only mentioned (or buried) in the terms and conditions. The $10 referral rebate might offer some incentive in the short-term.

I've been looking to sign my son up. But the current plans you are offering are more than what I was lucky enough to get on a boxing day offer last year. The $10 credit referred is little to no draw to myself. I guess I'll just hold out and hopefully a good promo sale with either come up at Thanksgiving, black Friday or even Boxing day again.

Thank you. It took a little while for my referral $ credit to show up and I was confused at first as to why a $10 credit was sitting in my account. I figured it out after I started finding 1 point referral credits happening monthly 🙂
