Hey Community,

Effective June 9, 2018 until June 10, 2018 at 11:59PM ET, we are offering a SIM card and your next 30 days for $0 when you activate a 30-day plan! This will be applied as an account credit and the offer is available to new customers only.

How to Get this Offer:

30 Days for $0: When you activate a Public Mobile SIM card on a 30-day plan from June 9 to June 10, 2018, you will get your next 30 days of service for $0!

The credit value that you will receive will be equal to the price of the rate plan on which you activated your SIM card. This credit will cover the rate plan cost only. It will not cover additional costs such as Add-Ons.
Eligible customers will be credited the 30-day rate plan amount within 72 hours. These credits will count towards your next plan renewal.
For example, if you sign up on our current $35 for 1GB at 3G speed, Unlimited Canada-wide Talk and Unlimited International Text 30-day plan, your account will be credited $35 within 72 hours of activating.
Eligible customers will receive a confirmation text message shortly after the credit has been applied to your account. These details can also be found by signing in to your Self-Serve account.
You will not need to top-up your account at your first renewal date, unless you purchase Add-Ons, change or future-date your plan to a more expensive plan during the first 30 days. Note that, if you have registered for AutoPay, you will continue to receive your $2 AutoPay reward every 30 days. All Reward rules, found at publicmobile.ca/rewardrules, apply.
This offer is not stackable with the offer to get a SIM + $20 account credit when you activate a Talk + Text plan at Walmart. If you are activating at Walmart on a Public Mobile Talk + Text plan, you will be eligible for the $0 SIM and $20 account credit. All other Public Mobile 30-day plans that include data, purchased from Walmart, will be eligible for the 30 days + SIM for $0.

$0 SIM Card: SIM cards will be $0 when you activate in-store.

If you wish to pick up a SIM card in-store and activate at home, you will be asked to pay the regular retail price by the retailer.
Due to the short promotional timeframe, SIM cards purchased online will be regular price ($10 each), as we cannot guarantee that they will arrive before the promotion ends.

Y'know...these promo's are all very nice and everything but I've been here less than a month and two of these promo's have come and gone that I probably would've used. When I first learned of Public Mobile, I excitedly marched into a Walmart and picked up a SIM and brought it home and activated it and am happy as a clam with the service. Except this. I sure wouldn't've minded getting the first month free let alone a SIM for nothing. That would've been darn nice. But here I am. Missed the boat. Paid for the SIM and this first month. Sucks to be me. If anyone would like to rectify anything on this that would be lovely.

I like these flash sales but they are really short. Lots of my colleagues work shift work and don't have time to buy a sim and activate when these come up. It would be nice if they were a few days or week long

I also think they're a great enticement to lure in new customers. But come on. For those customers that just recently became customers and paid full fare, it hardly seems fair.

The first one came and I thought well rats sure missed that one. Then inside of the same new customer month another enticement comes up. Come on!

And I agree with the shift work problem. I live quite some distance away from a Walmart. PM's fine print says that to have a SIM mailed would probably miss the special. So the only way to use the special is to run out and travel whatever distance to get to the nearest Walmart.

How about something just for the really recent customers at least while enticing new customers? Kinda like a price protection.

Post paid accounts would offer a remorse period. Unfortunately, no such thing for prepaid. It does suck to be on the outside looking in.

Yes, and if you activate at Walmart, you will get the sim for $0.

It doesn't have to be Walmart. I think anywhere you can buy a SIM could activate it and you'd get it for $0.

I registered and activated in store (WOW mobile) for this promo but was told I still had to pay for the sim and the credit will be reimbursed.

Is this the case? I thought the sim card was free.

Nope, you pay $0 for the sim. it should be free and you will not receive the sim credit. Go back to the store and refer them to this annoucement.

I'm also asking this. Like maybe a 30 day price protection deal like how some retailers do.

I signed up here and then an offer was announced. I thought well crap missed that one. Then another offer came out and I'm thinking come on! I haven't seen a month pass here and I've seen two offers that I would've been happy to take. Especially the one today and tomorrow.
