Wondering if PM can provide incoming text add-on. So for user who usually don't use the SMS, can subscribe this add-on just in case some one sends the SMS to him/her, without to choose the unlimit internation SMS package. Users are shifting to all kinds instance messaging FaceTime, FB messager, WhatApp, Line, etc but still some still wants to keep incoming text message.

OR get an account at fongo.com, speakout7eleven, or giffgaff.com and all incoming SMS are free (though responding is not).

If my math is right you can add the unlimited province wide talk and unlimited incoming/outgoing global text bundle to your chosen data plan at an additional $12/month (on 30 and 90 day plans). It's $10/month if you add unlimited incoming/outgoing global text to a data plan (two vs three choices).

On the other hand, if you are looking for a standalone text option I second @Luddite's comment.

(Edited to clarify my line of thought...)

Further to the above responses, @frankmobilepm, I wanted to point out that on ANY* 30 or 90 day plan, if you choose ANY talk optoion other than no talk, and any amount of data other than no data, adding the global texting option is actually free.  If you think I've lost my mind, have a look at the plan selection tool https://publicmobile.ca/plans and try it out for yourself.  Going from pick-2 to pick-3 increases your discount by $15/30 days or $45/90 days, which is exactly the same amount as the cost of the global texting option.

* 10 day plans are excluded from this but it's rare anyone uses 10 day plans other than to briefly test out PM service or to extend an extended absence as cheaply as possible.  Also, any 30 or 90 day time-limited promo plans may not work with this logic, but all the promo plans we have seen so far from Public Mobile have included the global texting option as part of the further-discounted plan; so I think this is a moot point.
