Wow so many suggestions all of a sudden on new plans.

Trying to find a "sweet" spot for current and future customers.  I think the above would cover most needs.  May cause mayhem when people from other carriers jump on board !     🙂

@will13am Not surprising, considering the current promo is such a joke.

And these may become "epic" plans,  maybe not, but the competition may also offer something for Canada's 150 celebrations.  better to get ahead of them !

@CalvinW, it sure is.  Even suggestions like $150 for Canada wide calling and 12 gigs is a joke.  TBH, the 2016 fall promo should have included Canada wide calling.  This is the internet era and that urban dictionary has no definition for long distance.  The cost to connect a call across the street isn't measurably different than one across the country.  The day the internet starts differentiating surfing based on location of the web server is the day I would pay for long distance calls without complaint.  I mentioned this before, google takes care of all my North America calling needs.

@will13am, so just because I don't use calling outside of my home province, you want to force me to choose a plan that costs more to support those who do use it?  No thank you.

i think the previous promo, the first ever to my knowledge, was a great hit the way it was put together.  I've had to make one long distance call to the US, and that covered via the $8 addon.  For people who don't desire the extra, why force it on them?

idealy, yes, the plan should have given an option or Province or Canada wide calling, with a reasonable price difference.

@stonechucker, you misinterpreted what I said. I value long distance at zero dollars. We should get country wide calling as a rule. The internet know no politics boundaries, great firewall of China excepted, lol.

I am really looking forward to what the creative advertising minds in the telecom industry will present for the Canada 150, if anything. There is really no obligation on their part to do anything, plus, it may conflict with the promotions they would have for "back-to-school" specials. But anyways, a competitive plan for Canada 150 will likely include Canada wide calling, so for $150:

90-Day Canada Wide Calling, Global Text, and the 12GB data (better than current deal, on-par with fall promo if considering Canada wide, better cash flow than fall promo, still competitive)

I'm not holding my breath for a better deal but, I am open for surprises. Perhaps a 15GB plan may be available by then that would sweeten this deal and make it a 15GB/$150 Canada Plan. In the long run, PM should consider abolishing provincial plans anyways to simplify the packages and eliminate provincial boundary issues.

honestly thats one thing that has bugged me. As a cash grab pm never gives canada wide calling in the promo's which is what makes me only 20% brand loyalty.

@BrrMcGrr, Public Mobile are currently on promos number 2 and 3.  Yes, Canada-wide calling has not been included, but it doesn't need to be (well, I could argue for the $165 promo right now... but that's another story).

Personally, the province wide call is all I need, and a promo with Canada wide would be or no use to me, unless it was very similar to the price I'm paying now for the first promo.

$8 and $15 long distance addons don't expire until you use them completely.  I don't know how often you call Canada-wide, but in 8 months I've been here, I've used 2 minutes to call the state of Kansas.
