Request a Phone Number

Rlummerding
Good Citizen / Bon Citoyen

Hello,

We are in Edmonton, Alberta.

I would like to request the pre-fix 780-913-xxxx for my children's phones. My wife and myself have that prefix and would like our kids to have the same if possible. Does Public have access to that pool of phone numbers? If so How do I request that when I sign them up to the plan on-line.

Thank-you

Robert

@Rlummerding I just looked and, for Edmonton, Public Mobile is currently offering 587 area code numbers.  The group of phone numbers that you are asking for are Telus Mobility numbers, so it should be possible to get one if your're persistent, depending on availability.

@Rlummerding Access each selfserve account and select the change number option to see if any numbers are available.

@Rlummerding , the old area code numbers are hard to come by.  Notwithstanding this, there are numbers recycled every day.  I suggest going into the self serve daily and checking if the area code you want becomes available.  Persistence may work out for you.

@Rlummerding when you sign up online and choose a number. You have the best opportunity there to try to catch the number that you would like to get. Stay safe.
